On the 1901 census I found an odd occupation that I wondered if anyone new what it was. An Ann Keen aged 67 has an occupation listed as "living on walesness growing"! |

Marcelo I'm still thinking about this one! I'll let you know if I come up with anything. I would imagine it is a case of very inaccurate transcribing. A bit of lateral thinking needed ........ Janet |

I've written this amusing occupation down in the same sort of handwriting that would have been used, and I wonder if the 'walesness' part could have actually been 'widows'. Still thinking about the 'growing' bit! Janet |

I have not looked at the original census document only at the transcription you can read before you have to pay. I don't think that this is a relation but I was just intrigued. |
