Births of both children are on FreeBMD Harold Bertram, Wakefield Mar 1889 9c 84 Muriel Amy, Wakefield Mar 1892 9c 74 You could send for either of these certificates and find their mothers maiden name.

Thankyou all for your help. My relations are as follows: Muriel, Harold, James and Sarah. 1901 confused me by spelling the name as Newill, now worked out wildcards so that will help. Again, thanks this side of the family were beginning to annoy me. Liz
