Yesterday I decided to take the plunge at Ancestry. Went to the 1891 censuses, found a relation and homed in on the census page. When the download status was complete I still had a load of melted knitting. The page before and after was fine but not Page 5 of Glos. S. Cerney District 13. I was looking for William Brookes and family. Could some kind person check it out for me and tell me where I'm going wrong. It may be quite simple, as I'm no computer whizkid, but I do find the site difficult.

I get exactly the same when I look - obviously a fault when they scanned it in! Emma.

I so loved your description of scrambled knitting, that I went to have a look for myself. I think you have described it perfectly. If you look at the thumbnail though that looks clear enough - perhaps if you email them with the Parish, District and Page No. they would be able to help you. Jan.
