Found this on the 1891 census: Joshua Cockroft, Head, mar, 44, Clogger, Bradford Mary Cockroft, Wife, mar, 35, Housekeeper, Clayton 9 Druids Street Piece RG12/3646, Folio 11, Page 15 Yorkshire, Clayton, Borough of Shipley Emma.

I checked the 1881 census, and all the Joshua Cockrofts come from Yorkshire, but Clayton is not mentioned. Hi Ingrid; Do you have a name for anyone else in the family? I had a look but there was no Joshua. Sorry! There were plenty of Cockcrofts but not that one. Perhaps if you had another family members name it would make it easier to trace the family. Perhaps Joshua was visiting that night or working away from the area? Sonja
