Hi Horace I'm sure you have just been unlucky, 99% of the people I have helped have been extremely grateful, and have taken the time to tell me so (not that is the motive you understand ! lol) Maybe you have just come across the exceptions that prove the rule? Regards Maxine

I've had a problem where I've contacted a few people through this site and they've responded with evidence that we are related and then I email back and get no response. I'm still waiting to hear from them. George

Hi Horase, I agree with what you are saying and I hope that I have replied to all who have helped and conntacted me,But sometimes you can't I had one Lady who conntacted me about someone in my tree and tried to reply three times via her email address and couldn't in the end I posted a message on this board. May I respectfully suggest that all who have received information from someone they have contacted, and who has taken the trouble to supply it, that you remember to say thank you. Of all the people who have contacted me, only two have emailed back to express their appreciation. This is on the tips board because it is in the interest of geneological research. People might get fed up, you see, and not respond to the next contact.
