Hi Susan, Yes there is a centre near here and I will be going next week to see what they can offer me. As I don't live in the area I am researching it is likely that I will have to order things in. Thanks anyway. Mel

Melanie I wish the 1871 census was available to buy but it isn't yet (I am happy to be proved wrong). You either have to visit the London FRC, visit the Record Office for the area or order fiche for the area from your nearest LDS centre. You can see why most 1871 lookup requests go unanswered. Do you have an LDS centre near to you? Sue

Any takers on this please? I am getting frustrated with this family. I have also spotted the name Cameron in both 1861 and 1881 at No 50 and am now wondering whether they are related. One is a visitor and the other is the head of the household where the Gerrards were boarders. Please help! Mel

I know people are getting fed up with look up requests but with nowhere else to post them I am taking the chance. Please could someone look to see who is living at 48 and 50 John St, Pendleton, Salford. I am hoping it will be either Gerrards as in 1861 or Winstanleys as in 1881. They are actually related to each other but I am not sure who the Gerrard mother is and would like to know if she is there in 1871 since she wasn't in 1861. Thanks in anticipation. Mel
