Does anyone have any experience of subscribing to ancestry.co.uk? Is it worth it, even for a quarterly subscription? I'm just wary that I may sign up and then find the info (such as 1891 census) is limited and then I can't cancel my subscription with it being an American company? Any advice?

They currently aren't doing the 14 day free trial. I have no idea when they will offer it again, but I'm prepared to wait it out (albeit impatiently!). Personally, I'm a bit dubious about parting with the money because, apart from the 1891 census, I don't know how useful/complete any of the other British records are.

I have found the message boards on ancestry.co.uk very useful. There are boards specific to areas in the uk and have even found someone looking up the same line as me.

they are still doing the trial. Just type in 'ancestry trial' in google. However, they have now cottoned on to the fact that people were taking out a trial more than once. The system checks it out - i.e once per credit card or person. Oh well, I did pretty well. Will have to use husband's credit card now.
