Jacqueline Not found them yet, but when I was looking on 1891 to see if they were there, I found another Glaswegian family in Accrington with the surname O'Hara. Not sure if you have these already but anyway James O'Hara, 46, Yarn Dryer, Glasgow Ellen, Wife, 44, Glsgow David, Son, 23, Engine Cleaner, Glasgow Marian, Dau, 21, Glasgow James, Son, 19, Glasgow Isabell, Dau, 16, Rochdale, Lancs Robert, Son, 12, Bacup, Lancs John, Son, 8, Baxenden, Lancs Thomas Newbigging, Lodger, 38, M, Glasgow Incidently, I found this quite funny because I'm originally from Bacup (which for the uninitiated is a small town between Rochdale & Burnley in Lancs) and now am living in Perth Scotland! Will keep looking for the other family Rachel

Jacqueline Are you sure they were still living at the time of the 1881 census? If so, they could have been with grandparents?? My own grandmother was missing from the 1881, I found her by chance, this was before the census was online or on CD, whilst trawling through the microfiche. She was a visitor (aged 6 months)with another family, not even in the same area but in the same town. I still don't know the relationship, if any, of this family to my own. Margaret
