thank you marion for that info reguarding 1861 cen,george roddis would have been age 39ish and elizabeth would have been 24ish. hope thats of help.

Teresa, I have the index to most surnames for the 1861 Sheffield census including the Gs & Rs, but I do not have the census entries. It does not give addresses I'm afraid, only the census reference to the dwelling. I can only tell you there are 18 Elizabeth Gillotts, 6 Elizas and 7 George Roddis's somewhere in Sheffield. If you know the ages at 1861 to narrow it down, I could check for others in the same household. Marian
