I have found a seaman's record book, his name is John Frederick Lovett Smith, he was born 22nd December 1923 @ Sutton Bennington. His mother was Edith Smith living @ 75 Sherwin Road Stapleford Notts. I also have his fingerprints on some other documents, his British seaman's identity card. He started off as a baker and confectionery he later became a steward, on various ships. He has his photo on his documents. This may be of interest to someone who is researching their family. Sue................

Sue, why not put this on the Smith History board? then it will survive for longer if there are not takers on this one. Pam
