Got out my A-Z hoping Spring Street was on the boundary of Sheffield/Rotherham. Unfortuately there are two, one close to the centre of Rotherham, the other close to the centre of Sheffield! Sorry, you're still none the wiser, and probably more puzzled than ever. If you need any advice about the area in future, let me know. I'll try and be a bit more helpful next time. P.S. Just remembered, Spring St in Sheffield is where the RSPCA is now. Quite old buildings in that area, some housing, some industrial.

I live in Sheffield and the boundaries between here and Rotherham do merge and have probably been altered over the years. Can you give the addresses they gave on the marriage certificate and I'll see if a little local knowledge can help you identify the area they lived in.
