Just a suggestion - go to your local library and try to get Ancestral Trails, by Mark D Herber (or buy it £20.00 ish). It covers absolutely everything for UK and will tell you where all sorts of records are, or how to find out. Maz. XX |

What about wills? Have you looked at www(.)documentsonline(.)pro(.)gov(.)uk ? You can download for £3.00 or take reference and view/print on film at FRC. Maz. XX |

Hi Everyone. I have just spent a really long day searching through the parish records at Canterbury Cathedral...I cant seem to find anything new! My 5xGreat Grandfather Spicer was born in 1760 but I have no record of his marriage or his parents. I was wondering if anyone had ideas as to what records I should look at next. I have only used online records and census' before, so actual searching at the Archives centre is pretty new to me. Any ideas would be really appreciated! Best Wishes! Sarah |
