Hi I'm trying to find out who my gt grandfather's parents were. My gt grandfather's name was Thomas Callaghan and all I know is that he was born around 1898 in Keighley West Yorkshire I have no idea if he had any brothers or sisters but if he did this would be a bonus to me. Please can anybody do a lookup for me or point me in the right direction of where to look? Also I know he lived at 77 North Dene Road in Keighley for most of his adult life so his parents may of lived near by Thank You Alaina

Could he be the one registered in Leeds Mar 1898 on BMD? Do you have Thomas's marriage certificate or do you know the details to order it? Then you could find his father's name and find him on the 1901 Census with Thomas.

There is also a thomas callaghan born 1900 leeds on bmd. Have looked on 1901 census and can only find a THOS CALLAGHAN born Leeds, aged 5 months at time of census. ??

I've just been looking on 1901 too. There are some spelling variations to Callaghan so I tried Cal* but it didn't help. Did find a Thomas aged 2 who was a soldier!!!!

Hi Helen and Joanne Thank you so much for having a look for me it could be that he was registered in Leeds, all my grandad could tell me was that he knew he came from Keighley and unfortunatly I don't have a copy of his wedding certificate, I'm finding it really hard to get anywhere aswell because I can't really afford to send off for copies of certificates suppose I'll just have to put it on hold for now Thanks again Alaina
