Can anyone tell me what to do next? I'm trying to find my Great Grandfather's date of birth. He was born in Tottenham in 1852. His name was, I'm afraid to say, William Smith and his father was David Smith. They were both Gardeners. I've searched BMD Births for 1852 and 1853 and although I found a few either they weren't readable or the father's name wasn't correct. I know this is right as I have a marriage certificate for William. Have also searched the main Genealogy sites on the internet. Please come up with some suggestions someone! Jennifer.

Jennifer you should perhaps try a five year either side age range cos people were forever telling porkies when they got married, especially if they were really under age. hevi
