how to confirm i have right person

Could anyone tell me how i can make sure i have right person. have got what i belive to be grandads brother from 1901 census. used info from 1881 census i know this is correct due to dates etc. dont want to add to tree if not right person. Hope this Makes sence. theresa

Have you tried looking for the individual IGI record on the FamilySearch.org website? I have done this a couple of times to get a more accurate date of birth or christening. I think there have been quite a few people who have ended up ordering the wrong certificate so the only way to be sure is to see the original entry and check it with dates and parents names etc that you already know.
