Hi Keith I don't know if that would be possible as up to date divorce records, like census returns are not available to the public. There is a rule that restricts the availability of files for 75 years (though I heard elsewhere it was a 100 years) from the date of the divorce. However, the indexes can be viewed. For the period 1858-1940 divorce files are in the PRO (reference J 77, with indexes in J 78 going up to 1958). The files could have petitions for divorce, grounds for divorce etc. Records from 1941 to date are held at Somerset House and a search could be done for you at a fee. Well, that is what my books tell me anyway! Hope it helps. Best wishes Helen, Berkshire
