Sarah James and Florence's marriage was registered at St Saviours which included Newington St Mary and was part of Surrey until 1889....now Southwark I've emailed you with the page from 1881 census which may be your Florence. Get the marriage certificate and you will have her father's name and occupation. Sue

I live in High Wycombe Buckinghamshire. Have got GRO number and have since found 2 of their children. Grace aged 9 months and James aged 2. So made a start. Sarah.

He was a stevedore. Which I knew nothing about till I did a search. Found out it was someone who loaded and unloaded ships. Suppose we would say dockworker now. Sarah.

On 1901 census he was 28 and she was 29. Says he was born Newington and she was born Clapham. Sarah.

Thanx for trying Max. He married a lady called Florence Nightingale Kinnaird in 1894. They went on to have 14 children. 1 of which was my Great Grandmother. 9 of the children survived but were mostly shipped out to relatives due to the fact that both parents had heavy drinking problems. I would love to find out about them all but can only find record of marriage.

Looking for info on James Beadle b1873?. Believe it to be Stoke Newington or Hackney. Found him on 1901 census but had no registration area so hit a brick wall there.
