Stan Thanks think Ive sussed it now ,been told since Ive got date/place then can still get cert. from ONS records even tho' I haven't got Vol/page as previous..Will try Thanks Bry

This marriage is before 1837, so you won't get a certificate from the national records. The best you can hope for is to check the IGI details from an original copy of the church register. This is likely to be on microfilm in a local library or archive. Unfortunately very little of this material is yet on the web, so it means journeys around the country. In many areas, books have been published printing all the entries, but inconveniently they often stop before 1837 when the national system came in. Stan Driver

hi brian, you will still need to get the gro number to get a copy certificate, go to the links on this page and log on to 1837 site it is a pay site but with the date you should be able to get a copy certificate. the batch no you can use on the IGI part of familysearch put in name and the batch number and you may get other relatives. you could also try freecen also in links that may give you the volno and page needed for certificate. hope this makes sense best wishes sandra

Ive got Marr. my ggg/f from IGI..23/11/1825 in Holme Cultram ,Cumberland John Steel+ Ann Saul.How do I get copy cert.? Gives " FHL British Fiche " Film No 6904735/fiche(2)..Batch P006182. Can anyone explain/help.. LOL Bry
