Sometimes after a christening a cert was issued, giving the name of the child and the godparents. I have one for my great grandfather and one for my mother. Ros

I don't think there would not be a certificate as such but would be a record in the local parish register.

Hi When people were Christened in 1938 did they give Certs or have Records ? I have the Birth Cert, so please where can I find a Chr Cert for Sheffield ? Joan
