Dawn, Your first stop is your local library, or social services department, who should be able to provide a leaflet or information on the proceedures for gaining access to adoption records. Pam

I am trying to trace my mothers parents who gave her up for adoption in 1946 when she was 6 weeks old.Mt mother died 12 years ago and i dont have her birth certificate. The only thing i know was that her mother was a youg welsh woman and her father was an american G.I, I dont even know which adoption agency placed her with her adopted parents (who have both died)-any tips on where to start?
