thought Id post this as someone else may be interested The staff at the archive were very helpful but the census records are extremely difficult to decifer they writing on parts is so faded and the writing so poor that the names could be anything(No wonder the 1881 has names spelled so wierdly). The name index is in seperate parts for different parishes and I ended up just placing the fiche book next to me and working through them that way, if you know the street its much easier. I want a spare month to just go through them.Parish records are much more legible and have better info. Im going to lie down in a dark room with coccumber on my eyes now and hope to not see a fiche reader for a few weeks Ill need new glasses! :)lol

had a totally non productive time at the archive. All the info I found Id got from other sources still a least it confirmed it:) Maxine I sent you an email I also had a look at all the Holland births from 1837 to 1845 and couldnt find a Vincent Holland, the early records are handwritten though and difficult to read. It maybe worth looking for a death record for Vincent if the Emma I found was yours as she was on her own on the 1861 census it didnt state if she was married or single
