Marion, yes that search is extremely useful, but recent (20th century) family details are fairly sparse, so that probably would not help here

Did you know that on LDS FamilySearch you can do a search with just the parents names completed - NO other data at all (not even country) - and it will show all children it has info about with those parents. You can then check further elsewhere to confirm/eliminate. At least it gives you a starting point.

Hi Chris, After 1911 it is slightly easier to search for births as all the ledgers show the mother's maiden name alongside the baby's first name and surname. You could try searching the 1837online, but because you do not know the year of birth, this could prove to be very expensive! I am actually visiting the FRC on Thursday and am willing to look throught the birth registers for you to see if I can find your mum's sisters. I can let you know on Friday, any information I find. Is this OK? Tracy

Karen Unfortunately not which is why I am so stuck. The information I have is Mother: Dora Ann Grace Born 1933, Bootle, Liverpool. Her father: John Joseph Grace Her mother: Emma Grigsy They were married in 1931 and lived in Province Road, Bootle, Liverpool. I think my great grandfather was also John Joseph Grace born in 1849 in Kilkenny, Ireland. I will add anyone who can help to my donation list - I donate a £5 to the PDSA everytime someone helps me. Thanks in anticipation.

If your mother was alive in 1901 then you can search for her on the census and also see who was living with her at the time. If you know her parents names and they were alive and married in 1901 the you can do a search on them and see if her siblings were older. If you have trouble, post as much detail as you can and someone may be able to help you. Good luck Karen

Hi You could try the parish registers of the church where your mother was baptised and asking relatives. George

Is there anywhere I can look to find out the name of my grandparents children. I only have my mother's but I know she had at least two sisters. Many thanks
