Glad I could help. You see though I learnt something as I input Mar* and should have tried M*. Learning all the time. I did suspect Godfrey might be mis-spelt Don't know about your family being down the pub, sounds more like the enumerator or the transcriber. John

What a palaver,found them at last John they were the ones you found,mispelt surname, mother Meria instead of Maria and the Garveys spelt Gang even the address looks suspicous Runny Road cant find it in my old A-Z glad to find them though, thought they were all down the pub.Thanks Again Kathleen

There is also Ann Garvey 30 Liverpool but doesn't appear to be in the same house. Outside chance a MARY GARVEY 32 Much Wooton, Lancashire. Sorry best I can do John

Kathleen, I think I have found the 2 boys but not Maria; George GODFRY 13 William GODFRY 11 born Liverpool census place Kirkdale.

Thanks for that Maureen,maybe she did remarry as she wed and was widowed very young.George being a Carter fits as all uncles and grandfathers were Carters,William went on to be a priest then Cardinal of Westminister,if I use the number you quoted will I be able to look it up myself,Many Many Thanks Kathleen

Ihave found on my decoder George and William age16 age14 both born lancs liverpool census liverpool same page id 11246760 george working as a Carter on docks but no mother do you think she could have remarried

Hi have spent nearly a fiver today looking for the following family,on 1891 I have them listed as Maria Godfrey widow(22 ithink) living on own means,sonsGeorge 3 and william 1 yr,sister Annie Garvey (pos 19)all living at 43 Woodhouse Street Kirkdale Liverpool.Can anyone help please?
