Help with online family tree

I'm creating an online family tree via GenesConnected but what I can't figure out is how to pick up inter-marrages as I dont want to list a person twice. Any suggestions or help appreciated. Sian |

Sian, I don't think there is a way around this problem except, of course, to enter people twice. I have had the same problem. Maybe an e-mail to GC might prompt them to change the software to accommodate intermarriage. Regards David |

By trial and error (and a lot of help from GC) I have found the way to do it is to add just own tree first (ignore ORDER of marriage if you have multiple marriages in your tree - concentrate on getting YOUR ancestors right). Then click on any members who married before/again, & add their other partners, & then any children from that marriage. If you email me, I will give you permission to look at my tree, to see how it should look. |

I have messed up my first attempt at the family tree,wrong folk in the wrong boxes etc, how do I delete it all and start again.I find it impossible to correct errors. |

I am afraid that at the moment if there has been an inter-marriage in your tree - eg 2 cousins, then their names will appear twice. This may be something that we look into in the future. If you have any problems, then please contact the support team |
