I need some help! I have details of a marriage extracted from the church records in 1835, did they have certificates in those days? How can I get any more information on their parents? Sara

Certificates only started from 1837.

some certificates were issued in the church resisters or at least it was possible to get copies as I have some for prior to 1837 that have come down through my hubbys family. sandra

I have parish registers of marriages that took place where the fathers names and occuaptions are recorded. Sometimes the witnesses are family members too so this is worth looking into. Alison
