Member Since: January 0001 Posts: 0 Send Message	Hi Angela, The ones that I have found (Scottish) state both names (married and maiden) and state widow. i.e. Smith or Jones. Scottish marriage certificates always show parents names and mothers maiden name. so does make it a lot easier. Death certificates would state both spouses. Hope that helps. Regards Margaret

	Can someone tell me whether a woman would usually use her maiden name or her first married name when remarrying after being widowed??
