Hi Jacqueline I know there has been alot of publicity about this particular practise in the lat few years. I am sure there is a charity that is now trying to reunite these children with the families they were taken from. Infortunately I can't rember what it was called. You may get some joy by searching on the BBC website, or contacting them , or you may be able to contact one of the childrens charities who may point you in the right direction(e.g. Barnardos)- try a google search. Regards Maxine

Can anyone tell me how to find out if a child was sent to Canada by the authorities in the UK - I'm referring to "pauper" children in the early 1900's. I have tried to find passenger lists, looked on the Ontario web-pages but no luck. any help appreciated. Jacqui
