Hi again Maxine, couldn't get a certificate on 1837 as you need a GRO number, but I will ring them up and perhaps get one that way. Thanks again May

Hi Maxime, Yes I think you're right. I have the date of the marriage therefore the right name should be on the marriage certificate. Did I tell you you are BRILLIANT. Thanks May

Hi May I'm sure you are right, can you send for the marraiage certificate?, as they must have married after 1837, so it should be on 1837online, if you can't find it on freeBMD. Regards Maxine

I have a hyphenated maiden name. Noble-Nesbitt. I have managed to get to 1821 to William Noble Nesbitt but I have a death certificate for Barbara, which states his name as just Nesbitt. His son present at death was James N Nesbitt. Do you think that Barbara his wife could have been Noble or am I just clutching at straws here. Anyone got any ideas. The death certificater for Barbara Nesbitt is dated 15th of April 1877 and she was 69 .I have found their marriage on LDS but it doesn't state her maiden name. Help
