Hi there, It's me again, except this isn't directly my family..it's my aunts! Anyway, she would like the following information if possible: Francis J Lock b Chiswick 1842 MaryAnn Lock born London 1839 Ada c1867 born Plymouth Ernest c1870 born Reading Frank c 1872 " " Rosa c1877 Born Bristol Walter c 1879 Born Leicester We know that in 1881 they were in Leicester but as you can see they moved around a lot. Rosemary, Thanks so much for that information. My aunt will be pleased -though i'm not sure she'll like the thought of there being a "servant" in her family! Anyway, don't know if Walter and Frank Lock from Bristol are mine as i've just tidied up my notes. However , on a different note - if you ever find a Walter Parr(1854) from Bristol on 1901 census could you please let me know....I've looked and looked, i've tried wildcards everything but haven't found him or his wife and kids. Would be just my luck if he went away somewhere on census night... Thanks again, Karen |

Hi Rosemary, With regards to my Walter, In 1891 he was in Harborne,Smethwick, Staffs aged 36 with wife Elizabeth (36...she lied about her age!)and children Bruce 9 and May 5. In 1881 they were at Bracebridge Street in Warwickshire - with children from her previous marriages. Can not find any of them in 1901, Can not find marriage cert for Elizabeth and Walter and can not confirm a birth cert for Walter.(Have a possible Walter 1857 from Bristol? But can not yet make connection with my family). As you can see, i'm a bit stuck.... Grateful for any advice you can give . Thanks Rosemary, Karen |
