married twice but who to and when

I have had a lot of info from my auntie on my maternal side .However she keeps telling me that her grandmother was a widow and remarried a widower. Problem is all the records point to her father being the widow. The man her gran was supposed to have married is also a widower. Somewhere these families are connected but I am going up a very thick wall here any suggestions plese Brenda |

Thanks pau;ine,but it is not my mother who is supposed to have remarried .it is her grandmother. Can't trace her first marriage or death or her ist husbands.Awaiting on my mothers,mothers b/c to see if it shows her mothers name Brenda |
