Member Since: December 2002 Posts: 0 Send Message	I see him on 1901 but not 1891, have widened my search to incorporate spelling variations on Coates but still nothing. It could be that his birthplace is different to that on 1901. Would he have been married to Dora in 1891?

	In 1901 William Coates was married to Dora b North Ormesby. He was an Engine Driver Upon Works. Thanks George

Member Since: December 2002 Posts: 0 Send Message	There are 19 Goodwills, born and living in Hovingham, however John and Mary are not listed among them. Checked the Welsh census as well but the only one from Hovingham is the Mark Goodwill who I identified in your previous post. No sign of William Coates either, using the birthplace you supplied.

	Looking for John & Mary Goodwill, living in Hovingham aged 81 and 78 respectively. Both born Hovingham. William Coates, 21yrs, b Thorntley moor,Yorks. Thank you George
