Is there a web site where you can read the wills of your ancestors? From Sue

I think there might a web site where you can see a list of the Wills but dont think its complete. if you want to get a copy of someones Will they are £5 (i think)from the probate registry in york i can you the address from work (i do wills etc) if want it can you email me and then i can email you back with it. if you supply full name and date of death and last known address if you have it (just in case there are two "john smiths" to make sure you get the right Will) you can also get a copy of the Grant for an extra £5 they will search for you if you give a time period hevi

Thanks Sue for asking the question & George for great site. Even if you can't find family now -really useful to know where they might have lived in previous times & to bear in mind as you get further back - hope this makes sense. Thanks again. Pat

I have been on the wills4all website, no problem. I tried to email them to offer a copy of a will I have and it wouldn't send. It was an aol address, as I am, and said that the person was not an aol member. Has anyone else tried contacting this site? Had any luck? Margaret
