Karen It's a great and reliable way of accessing 1901census which enlarges and presents names/occ/born/etc in spreadsheet form. Go to www(.)censusdecoder(.)com/ which tells U how to Download (bout 15 mins)..I'm impressed with it. Goodluck Bry

Don't forget to save the results before closing the program otherwise you will lose it. If you sort by the PageID you will group the results into households. Sorting on PersonID will also sort into households usually with head of household first, then wife and then children. There can of course be gaps if you have not found some of the household in your searches. Martin

Hi Martin, thanks for the tip. I have just finished using the decoder and its brilliant. I can't believe I used to pay around 50p to bring up details of my ancestors. This is so much more fun! Thanks to Bry for giving me the web address Karen
