Christine, I assume you're a novice - I don't want to teach my grandmother to suck eggs! I assume you've got a pretty good idea from family of roughly where & when your grandparents were born & were married? If so, I guess you want to see records of their marriage; & of their birth / baptism, to give you names of your great grandparents & so on. Do you know how to find GRO Indexes other than on the net? And how to use them to obtain copies of birth, marriage, etc. certificates? This will cost you about £9 per certificate but give you the info you need, assuming you don't inadvertently pick the index number of the 'wrong' Glover. Do you live within traveling distance of the appropriate County Records Office for the Wirral area? If so you'd be much better off spending a day there looking through the parish registers & finding the entries for yourself - its great fun, much cheaper (photocopies of register entries cost pence) & you'll probably also have access to all census' from 1841-91 free of charge. A word of warning - it's very addictive. Write back if you need more advice on the above. Tony

i am trying to find relatives of my grandfather edward glover,he married florence louis churchill in the 1920s they had two children :james edward george (ted)&kathleen,ted died in 1966,i've been on different sites trying to find b.m.d. so far found nothing to match,i have plenty of info on my grandmothers family,but nothing on my grandfathers side,i know he had a sister"lill" but thats all,can anyone give me some guidence!!!!!! p.s it's wirrall area.
