Shelli Your best bet is to either visit the Kent county record office to see the census on microfiche, or to pay a researcher to do it for you if you live too far away. I paid a researcher to view the 1861 and 1871 for the Central London area. It only cost about £35 Cheaper than petrol and hotel bills. Margaret

Thanks for reply Amanda Can't seem to find death cert either. The only info I have on him is on his daughters birthcert!! Have found addy for Kent FHS and will contact them for more info Shelli

Is there some way to see the 1871 census? I have the family in 1881, the mother is a widow. I know the fathers name as I have one of the children birth certs. I can not find the marriage so would like to see the 1871 to work out roughly when he was born. Shelli
