I've learned from the 1901 census that my G.Grandmother Louisa CANNINGS worked as a cook in a house in Salcombe. (The name is hard to read but I think it's "Ringrove"). I wonder if anyone has heard of this house, if it still exists, and ideally the name of the owner in 1901 (also hard to read: "Gunnery"?). On the same census page is listed the Bolt Head Hotel, which still exists today. Thanks in advance, Alex |
