I've only been researching my in-laws family tree for six months but it seems to be taking over my life! A friend was kind enough to give me the Family Tree Maker package but now I'm gaining experience and a lot of information I'm wondering if there may be a better package out there. As I am doing this on behalf of my family I am sending out trees, information pages etc. to many people regularly. What package do you all recommend? |

Samantha You takes your pick and makes your choice. I use FTM as well and find it excellent. The latest versions have a great selection of report templates etc. No doubt other software packages have their own merits but I'm not too familiar with them. If you are happy with FTM stick with it and up date to a more recent version. Mike |

Hi Mike I'm thinking about downloading the one from LDS - it's a freebie Terry |

Just bought PC Basics mag, issue 59 is all about genealogy, gives excellent reviews on sites, software and even this site! I think it's worth the £4.99 Kim |
