Ann, thank you for your offer. I have been searching for 2 people born vaguely in 'Somerset'. cd you search your 'Creech' records just in case for 'Emmanuel Joyce' or 'Sarah Balch' both born 1806/7? Thank you, Marian

Could you please have a look on Dorset for 1851 for JOB TOOP (Beer Hackett) he may only have been a few months old. His father may have been Charles Toop. Sorry not got any more info. Thanks Hazel

Hi Marian I have searched the Creech Register and I have looked 2 years either side of the 1806/7 but there are no Joyces in the register. (except for a William Joyce buried in late 1600s). Sorry not to have been of any help. Ann Glos

Hazel I have searched the Dorset Census index for 1851 and the only Toop mentioned is a Melinda Toop age 27, flax spinner in Broadwinsor. This is, of course, not the whole of Dorset. it covers, Bettiscombe, Broadwinsor, Burstock, Chardstock, Charmouth, Chideock, Hawkchurch, Lyme R, Marshwood, Pilsdon, Thorncombe, Whitchurch Canonicorum, Wootton Fitzpaine. Sorry not to have been of any help Ann Glos
