need help finding family

Alicia If you mean ancestors, try the links on the left of this page to start you off. If you are still stuck ask a specific question, giving names etc and members will help you out. Lynne

Hi Alicia If you are unsure as to how to start, then begin by writing down everything that you can remember about your family. Translate that into your tree on here, starting with yourself. The next thing I would do is interrogate all the family memebers that you can (a bright light and black leather coat always work well for me!) Add any of this to your tree (bear in mind that memories cam get befuggled - what did you say your name was?) If you can get back to 1901 you can then start to use the 1901 census, and this will give you a few more generations. You can continue to build up your tree by using census data, the sites on the link pages and then verifying the data with certificates as you can afford to get them. Once you get back prior to 1837, you will need to start looking at parish records, and you local records office should be able to help you. You will find that usually the Latter Day Saints family history centres, the libraries and records centres are very helpful. Best regards Maxine
