How do you find birth records for Aden

My GGrandmother(Ruth Margaret LANE) was born in Aden c.1890 How do I find out her actual birth etc..dates? Sharon

Have you tried FreeBMD or LDS site? They are worth a shot.

All births abroad had and still have to be registered with the British consulate. Records of these births and births to our forces serving overseas can be found at the FRC in London.

British Citizens living abroad have the choice to register births with the British Consulate. I had two children abroad (South Africa). I only registered the first one with the BC. His birth is listed in the Records Office in Scotland (and also SA).My second child's records are not listed here - only is SA. Hope that helps. Regards Margaret
