Sorry, a correction to my last message, Gertrude Ezechiel was a pupil at a school in Crown Hill Road, it is hard to read but looks like a convent and boarding school. Could your family have been in India during the 19th Century. Jeannie

On the 1891 census I have found a Gertrude Ezechiel living in Willesden, Middlesex. Born in India. Jeannie

Ezechiel was the prophet in the bible and is more commonly a first or middle name.Have you tried the surname lists to see if some one is researching this one?

My father's side of the family was originally called Ezechiel but I can't find any reference to anyone of that name (with that spelling), save a James Ezechiel and family in the 1901 Census. Has anyone else seen that name anywhere - in censuses or anything??!!! Many thanks Peter
