Hi, The first two sites on the links page, the PRO and the church of the latter day saints are a good start, they give alot of tips where to start. Also try to start with the names, date and place of birth of your grandparents, that should give you a good base. good luck!

There are loads. LDS have a lot of information and its free. Search for Familysearch on google or somthing. Theres Ancestry.co.uk but you have to pay for the privilege. Theres others too, many of which you can find on the links page of this website. You could also try genuki which has a lot of infirmation about research. Hope some of this helps.
