sorry Kathleen, missed yur previous msg, was engorssed on 1901, but that 2nd one you founf fits, does it give an address of Oaks Evenwood or Auckland Terrace, Shildon? thanks for your help Kim

kathleen, does the census give the ages of Harriet's parents? I've now gone on the 1901 census and they all seem to live in Bradford, but not William or Harriet! any suggestion's where I go from here? Kim

kim,there is anotherwilliam walton living in darlington age 30 living at home parents william and mary and nine other siblings,his occupation general labourer cant make the address out kathleen hampshire

Kathleen Thanks for that, but now I don't know! it's quite possible, on the 1881 he lived with his father and step mother and was a coalminer in Shildon, but he is not on the 1901 cenus, so if he became a commercial traveller he could have been anywhere that night! Ann, if you wouldn't mind looking for me I would appreciate, I took photo's of Auckland Terrace a few weeks ago, where he use to live, but I know I won't be back up to Durham for some time. Re street names there are both Raby and a Ruby Street in Darlington. Don't know wether Ruby goes up to 30 do you want me to look when I go for my pension!!!! Ann,Darlington
