I am sure someone posted a website or postal address for somewhere that you can find out about rail accidents. If so I would love some info! I am trying to find some info for my best friend whose great grandfather had his head chopped off by a train in Staffordshire (nearly as unlucky as my Great gran who was run over by a car in 1934 - quite an achievement ! but that's another story!) I would love to find some more info for her. Thanks Maxine |

Maxine, Railway Inspectors reports on fatal railway accidents are held at the Public Record Office in Kew in series MT 29 and MT 30. (Info from The Family & Local History Handbook). Sometimes accidents were covered by local newspaper reports too. Hope this helps a bit. Beryl, Darlington DUR |
