Helen, I have had a look on the 1891 census, the writing isn't at all clear however I have found an Alice Thompson aged 23 living at 15 Stafford Street (I think) She was born in Tipton. On the Census she is shown as the sister of the only other person residing at that address. This person is shown as the head of the house. I don't know if male or female (might be called Millard or something similar, he or she is shown as married and may be 36????? Under occupation are the words Fancy Baby Linen! Under Alices occupation is Assist and then something that has been ruled out. i'm sorry I can't help you more. Perhaps someone else could take a look and try to decipher it!! Anna |
