Frederick would be 22 in 1899 William would be 68 and Mary would have been 18 and I know she wasnt married in 1891 and Fredrick aged 90(Though he may have been in Scotland in 1891)I thought there were some more but I found death records today which mean they were already deceased.

Deborah you are a star! Still doesnt help fit the extra children in, looks like they wern't theirs after all. Doesnt seem asthough anyone got their name right they are down as Cliverd on the 1901. The previous info helped me find an entire family on the 1881, though ,with extra children so maybe they are the parents. They were under Clitunce but the family members fit in with the info you found and they were living with John who was my direct ancestor and the address and occupations fit. Fun this lark, aint it:)

Hoxton seems to be in London. Hoxton is where he states his birth on the 1881 census and the 1901. I found a William John registered in Shoreditch in 1853 and his children were also registered in Shoreditch.I have a few other Clilverds registered in Shoreditch which is why I think they may be his children but the entire family stuck in and around London in the 19 century with only 1 moving to Birmingham and having a family there. He too moved back to London.

When I looked through the info I found some Clilverds missing especially William b1854 in Hoxten who is a bank clerk on the 1881 and bank manager on the 1901 this was the family I was really interested in as I know they had 2 sons Graham Barry (an artist) and Ralph (competed in the olympics) I have a few stray births I cant fit in to other families and wondered if they belonged to this one. Could some one do a look up on Cliverd as sometimes the name is misspelled as this(I know its cheeky but I had the free ancestry trial before the census was on there and cant get another one)

OK here goes This is from 1891 census NAME AGE BORN LIVED Albert 3 Paddington Alice M 30 London Arthur 5 Paddington Benjamin 54 Bucks Caroline 1 Paddington Edward 49 Bucks Paddington Eleanor Jane Victoria 1 Bucks Emma 40 St Pancreas Paddington Emma 55 Bucks Wandsworth Flora 18 Paddington Florence sarah 9 Bucks Frederick Benjamin 14 Bucks George 4 Bexley-kent George William 3 Bucks Harriet Charlotte 12 Bucks Henry 26 Bucks Bexley henry 1 Hackney Bexley Henry 54 Bucks Wandsworth Jane 27 Dublin Bexley Jane 44 Devon Hammersmith hos John 3 Tooting Bexley Lillian Maude 7 Bucks Sarah Ann 44 Bucks I know this is a bit of a mess! If the person has two places after their name, the first is a where they were born and the second is where they lived. If they have just one place name then they were born and lived in that place. I hope this helps Anna

Could some kind souls out there look up the surname Clilverd on the 1891 census, and is it possible to do surname searches on the other census not online? If so could someone try these as well? The Clilverd surname only comes back with a few hits as its rare.I have all the BMD records but am having trouble grouping them into families. Thanks.
