Not quite sure what you are asking in your question. The IGI will give you details of Births Marriages and (to a lesser extent) deaths. You can search the IGI in a specific area or parish using batch numbers and if you are searching for a particular surname you may well be overwhelmed with information. The IGI is not a complete record of Births Marriages and Deaths, but is a magnificant free resource. Whatever information you glean from it must be put into the picture you are trying to create and see if it progresses your search any further. How does the IGI index of the LDS site work. I have found several people but don't understand where to go from there.
