Hi The Scotland's People site is the one you need.It's not free unfortunately, you have to buy credits, minimum 30 for £6.00, but it's well worth it for Scottish birth, marriages and deaths.Good luck Lynne

Can anyone advise on the best way to find a Scottish birth ? I haven't much to go on as I don't know whereabouts in Scotland he was born, only that he was born in and his name was Charles MURRAY born in 1824.
