Hi Susan, If you are sending for the cert. from the GRO office then you need the year, quarter, district, vol and page number. The local register office will not require the vol and page number. Their is a William Ringrose,15, b. Leicestershire on the 1891 census, rel. to head of household is visitor. There is also a William Ringrose, 38, living in the same district with his family. Could this be his father? If you want anymore detail then let me know. Also, I think the district you want is Blaby in leicestershire.

I have just been to the 1837 online site I have found my Great Grandfather William Ringrose born 1876, I knew he was born in Leicestershire and it came up with Blahy vol 7a page 36 is there such a name in that county, also is that all I need to send to get the birth certificate, also is there any site that I can look on to see the household, I have looked on Family search but nothing was there for his name Many thanks Sue....
