Does anyone know how many churches there are here and where the main cemetery is? I'm looking for Starkey, Dickinson, Page & Norton's in the cemetery there. Thanks Jessica

Jessica my grandfather was born in Allereton Bywater and was called William Hutton. I would be very grateful for any Hutton info you find there as I am in Germany it is a little far away for me to go & look. Thanks in advance. Sheila

Jessica. Allerton Bywater is part of the ancient parish of Kippax, now Kippax with Allerton Bywater(and Gt preston). I was tramping round the churchyard recently. Look here http://www.stmarykippax.org.uk/abouttheparish.htm As you can see the church at Allerton is "new" (1863) so the churchyard is not very big. The parish records upto 1812 I have on disk but they are well covered on IGI. Any deaths prior to 1863 may be in Kippax but thats just up the road. Bob
